Situated between I-5 and Hwy 167, this project will provide building sites for 133 lots.  In order to prepare the site for this new housing development, the professionals at Alpha Development had to remove 40 feet from the top of a mountain (see pictures below).  In addition to removing the top of the mountain, the bank was reinforced with “Lock and Load” face block and their associated heavy embedment anchors in order to provide for the construction of the base pad.  When completed, this development will provide new home owners with a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier.,

Reinforcing the bank...

Once the top of the mountain was removed, the bank had to be reinforced.  A beginning course of modular face block is set in place an multiple layers of reinforcing fabric is laid down, extending approximately 30 feet back from the face of the wall.  As the wall is completed and backfilled, it is ready to support the new base pad for the construction project.
